Well friends, it’s official — our foster story has reached its end. And this time, it really is the final chapter.

If you’ve been following along, you know we took in two tiny, wobbly kittens who quickly stole our hearts (and all the best napping spots). What started as a temporary foster turned into weeks of whiskers, wiggles, and purrs that took over the house.

And now?Well let’s just say we may have Foster failed but only by half…🤣

Meet Pork Chop. Yes, that’s his real name, and yes, it suits him perfectly. This sweet little guy with the biggest purrs has officially become part of the family. We tried to stay strong, but clearly, Pork Chop had other plans — and honestly, who could resist?

As for his sister, she’s off to her own happy ending. Now named Duchess, she’s settled into her forever home, already adored and spoiled just as she deserves. Knowing she’s safe, loved, and living her best life makes saying goodbye a little easier.

So yes, this wasn’t my first foster fail — but it will be my last. We are officially retired from fostering. Why? Because clearly I’m terrible at the whole “temporary” part. I mean, who was I kidding? Bringing in tiny purring potatoes and expecting not to keep them? That’s just setting myself up for failure. We are officially retired from fostering. The family (or should I say, the zoo) is full, and Pork Chop has officially joined the ranks of the rest of our lovable chaos crew.

And here’s the thing — sometimes it’s just meant to be. You can try to reason with yourself about “just fostering,” but then one little purring potato looks at you, and suddenly, you’re buying another cat bed and declaring your retirement from fostering (again).

So yes, this is the end of our foster saga — but it’s also the beginning of a new chapter with one mischievous, cuddly, perfectly-named kitten named Pork Chop. Honestly, I couldn’t have written a better ending if I tried.

Sometimes the best fails are really just forever wins — and some furry souls are simply meant to stay. ❤️🐾
