Well, at the moment, I have both—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Years ago, I would have sworn up and down that I was 100% a dog person, no contest. But these days? Depending on the day, I might just pick a cat’s company over a dog’s.

Why, you ask?
Simple: cats seem less needy. Emphasis on seem. My 20-pound furry love muffin of a cat can be incredibly clingy—especially when there’s food involved. My dogs beg, my cat begs, and honestly, if my lizard could figure it out, he’d probably beg too.

I genuinely love both, but if I had to pick a side, I lean ever-so-slightly toward Team Cat. That said, I really don’t think I could live without either. Dogs and cats both bring their own brand of chaos and happiness to my life—and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.

So, dogs or cats? I guess my answer is: yes.
